The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) and the host Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls (Carlsbad, NM), observed Hobbs's basketball team overwhelm Carlsbad by a margin of 71-38.
The Eagles (29-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Sandia (Albuquerque, NM). The Matadors come into the non-league challenge with a 29-1 record. In their last challenge, Sandia trounced La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM), 64-35, in a non-league test.
