Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Enloe Eagles (Raleigh, NC) and the host Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC), saw Enloe's soccer squad hold off Clayton by a count of 3-2.

The Eagles (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Wakefield (Raleigh, NC). The Wolverines enter the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Wakefield tipped Jordan (Durham, NC), 6-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Comets battle the Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC) in a Greater Neuse River 4A battle, on Monday, March 17. Clayton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Storm enter the battle with a 3-2 record after their 1-1 non-league Leesville Road (Raleigh, NC).
