In Thursday's non-league game, the host Anson Bearcats baseball team scored a nice 9-1 victory over the Montgomery Central Timberwolves.
The Bearcats (3-0) will now prepare for their game against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Colts enter the non-league game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, West Stanly defeated North Stanly (New London, NC), 2-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Timberwolves face the North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 18. Montgomery Central will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Black Knights enter the game with a 4-3 record after their 9-5 non-league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC).
