The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the David Thibodaux Bulldogs (Lafayette, LA) and the visiting North Vermilion Patriots (Maurice, LA), observed David Thibodaux's softball team get by North Vermilion by a tally of 4-3.
The Bulldogs (9-6) will now prepare for their bout against Hicks (Leesville, LA). The Pirates go into the non-league bout with a 7-2 record. In their last bout, Hicks tipped Florien (Florien, LA), 4-3, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Winnfield Tigers (Winnfield, LA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 15. North Vermilion will attempt to advance on its 6-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 13-12 non-league win over Ouachita Christian (Monroe, LA).
