In Thursday's league test, the St. Martin Yellow Jackets (Ocean Springs, MS) softball squad the host Gulfport Admirals (Gulfport, MS), by a tally of 18-16.
Next, the Yellow Jackets clash with the East Central Hornets (Moss Point, MS) in a non-league test, on Friday, March 14. St. Martin will attempt to advance on its 7-5 season record. The Hornets go into the test with a 11-4 record after their 5-0 non-league win over George County (Lucedale, MS).
The Admirals (5-5) will now prepare for their test against St. Patrick (Biloxi, MS). The Fighting Irish go into the non-league test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, St. Patrick held off Perry Central (New Augusta, MS), 15-2, in a league test.
