In Thursday's league test, the Henderson Lions (Henderson, TX) softball squad overwhelmed the host Pine Tree Pirates (Longview, TX), by a tally of 12-0.

Next, the Lions clash with the Spring Hill Panthers (Longview, TX) in a 4A Region II District 16 test, on Friday, March 14. Henderson will attempt to advance on its 14-4 season record. The Panthers go into the test with a 10-8 record after their 14-2 league loss to Carthage (Carthage, TX).

The Pirates (6-11) will now prepare for their test against Kilgore (Kilgore, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 4A Region II District 16 test with a 3-7 record. In their last test, Kilgore prevailed over Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX), 13-3, in a league test.
