The Poth Pirates baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Cotulla Cowboys to 4 in the Pirates league victory on Monday.
The Pirates (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Jourdanton (Jourdanton, TX). The Indians/Squaws go into the 3A Region IV District 27 match with a 7-2 record. In their last match, Jourdanton edged Karnes City (Karnes City, TX), 19-6, in a league match.
The Cowboys (3-4) will now prepare for their match against Poteet (Poteet, TX). The Aggies go into the 3A Region IV District 27 match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, Poteet edged Dilley (Dilley, TX), 20-5, in a league match.
