Tallassee Tigers (Tallassee, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Stanhope Elmore Mustangs (Millbrook, AL), 9-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Tigers now own a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wetumpka for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 28.
With the loss, Stanhope Elmore falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Montgomery Catholic (Montgomery, AL) to face the Knights in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 17. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
