The Gilbert Indians softball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Batesburg-Leesville Panthers to 13 in the Indians non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Gilbert moves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Indians travel to Brookland-Cayce (Cayce, SC) to clash with the Bearcats in a AAA Region 5 game on Tuesday, March 29. The Bearcats come into the game with a record of 0-4.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles (West Columbia, SC) in a AA Region 3 game, on Tuesday, March 15. Batesburg-Leesville will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The War Eagles come into the game with a 4-0 record after their 11-3 non-league win over Lakewood (Sumter, SC).
