Center Point Pirates (Center Point, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Junction Eagles (Junction, TX), 4-3 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Goldthwaite for a 2A Region IV District 28 challenge on Tuesday, March 15. Center Point will face a Eagles squad coming off a 19-9 league loss to Johnson City (Johnson City, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Junction falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Medina (Medina, TX) to face the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 15. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-4.
