Louisiana High School Softball - Independence loses to Sumner

The Sumner Cowboys softball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Independence Tigers to 0 in the Cowboys non-league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Sumner improves its record to 13-0 on the year. The Cowboys travel to Albany (Albany, LA) to clash with the Hornets in a 3A District 8 game on Tuesday, March 15. The Hornets come into the game with a record of 0-1. Albany lost 15-12 in their recent non-league game against Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA)
In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Pine Raiders (Franklinton, LA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 15. Independence will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Raiders come into the game with a 1-2 record after their 15-3 non-league loss to Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA).
