Marbury Bulldogs (Marbury, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Jemison Panthers (Jemison, AL), 9-5 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chilton County for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 16. Marbury will face a Tigers squad coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Wetumpka (Wetumpka, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Jemison falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Panthers host Elmore County (Eclectic, AL) to face the Panthers in a 5A Area 6 challenge on Tuesday, March 15. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 11-4. Elmore County lost 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Wetumpka (Wetumpka, AL)
