Ninety Six Wildcats (Ninety Six, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Laurens Raiders (Laurens, SC), 18-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Emerald for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 15. Ninety Six will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 18-3 non-league loss to Dixie (Due West, SC). The Vikings record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Laurens falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Greenwood (Greenwood, SC) to battle the Eagles in a AAAA Region 2 challenge on Wednesday, March 16. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Greenwood won 4-3 in their recent non-league match against T.L. Hanna (Anderson, SC)
