North Carolina High School Baseball - East Burke wallops Newton-Conover

Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) and the host Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC), saw East Burke's baseball squad knock off Newton-Conover by a count of 12-1.

Coming up next, the Cavaliers play the Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC) in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A battle, on Thursday, March 16. East Burke will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Bears enter the battle with a 3-3 record after their 8-2 league loss to West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).

The Red Devils now possess a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Lincoln for a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A battle on Friday, March 17. Newton-Conover will play a Rebels squad coming off a 8-2 league win over Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC). The Rebels record now stands at 2-5.
