The William Monroe Dragons baseball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Madison County Mountaineers to 7 in the Dragons non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Dragons (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Goochland ran past King William (King William, VA), 9-1, in a non-league match.
The Mountaineers (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Orange County (Orange, VA). The Fighting Hornets go into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Orange County was overwhelmed by Louisa County (Mineral, VA), 10-5, in a league match.
