In Tuesday's league battle, the host Compton Early College Rising Phoenix volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Pacific Lutheran Stingrays.

The Rising Phoenix (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Muir (Pasadena, CA). The Mustangs come into the non-league battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Muir was edged by Bloomington (Bloomington, CA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Stingrays encounter the Environmental Charter White Tigers (Lawndale, CA) in a Mulholland battle, on Thursday, March 16. Pacific Lutheran will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record.
