Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), 3-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Wolverines confront the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A challenge, on Thursday, March 16. Polk County will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Erwin (Asheville, NC).

The Panthers now possess a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brevard for a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A challenge on Thursday, March 16. Patton will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-1.
