North Carolina High School Softball - Ashley falls to Laney

March 14, 2023: Wilmington, NC 28412

In Tuesday's league outing, the visiting Laney Buccaneers softball team scored a nice 16-2 win over the Ashley Screaming Eagle.

Coming up next, the Buccaneers battle the Cape Fear Colts (Fayetteville, NC) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, March 15. Laney will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Colts enter the outing with a 4-0 record after their 11-0 league win over Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC).

The Screaming Eagle (2-4) will now prepare for their outing against East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC). The Gators enter the non-league outing with a 6-0 record. In their last outing, East Columbus ran past Green Sea Floyds (Green Sea, SC), 13-3, in a non-league outing.
