Merryville Panthers (Merryville, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Basile Bearcats (Basile, LA), 10-0 in a non-league match.

The Panthers now sport a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oberlin for a 1A District 4 match on Thursday, March 16. Merryville will face a Tigers squad coming off a 8-4 non-league loss to Bell City (Bell City, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Basile falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to East Beauregard (DeRidder, LA) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 21. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 3-6. East Beauregard won 13-2 in their recent league match against Gueydan (Gueydan, LA)
