Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Boerne-Champion Chargers (Boerne, TX), 11-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 13-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pieper for a 5A Region IV District 26 challenge on Wednesday, March 15. Canyon will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 8-3 league loss to Veterans Memorial (San Antonio, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 11-11.

With the loss, Boerne-Champion falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Tivy (Kerrville, TX) to battle the Antlers in a 5A Region IV District 26 challenge on Thursday, March 16. The Antlers enter the challenge with a record of 10-6. Tivy won 9-8 in their recent league challenge against Seguin (Seguin, TX)
