Horseshoe Bend Generals (New Site, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Central of Coosa County Cougars (Rockford, AL), 17-2 in a league challenge.

The Generals now own a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Reeltown for a 3A Area 7 challenge on Thursday, March 16. Horseshoe Bend will battle a Rebels squad coming off a 6-1 non-league loss to Vincent (Vincent, AL). The Rebels record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Central of Coosa County falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Verbena (Verbena, AL) to battle the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 16. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a record of 6-4. Verbena won 12-0 in their recent league challenge against Billingsley (Billingsley, AL)
