The Kirbyville Wildcats the visiting Hardin Hornets softball squad by a count of 3-0 in Tuesday's league battle.
The Wildcats (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Kountze (Kountze, TX). The Lions go into the 3A Region III District 22 battle with a 16-7 record. In their last battle, Kountze nudged Warren (Warren, TX), 21-0, in a league battle.
The Hornets now sport a 8-7 record. They play next when they host Anahuac for a 3A Region III District 22 battle on Friday, March 17. Hardin will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 7-5 league win over Buna (Buna, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 9-3.
