The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA) and the host Lake Braddock Bruins (Burke, VA), saw West Potomac's softball squad nip Lake Braddock by a count of 5-1.

The Wolverines now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to South County for a Patriot match on Friday, March 17. West Potomac will face a Stallions squad coming off a 15-3 league win over Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA). The Stallions record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Lake Braddock falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Bruins host West Springfield (Springfield, VA) to face the Spartans in a Patriot match on Friday, March 17. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 2-1. West Springfield lost 10-8 in their recent non-league match against Yorktown (Arlington, VA)
