Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA) and the host West Hall Spartans (Oakwood, GA), saw Lumpkin County's baseball squad knock off West Hall by a count of 13-11.

Coming up next, the Indians play the Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA) in a 3A Area 7 battle, on Tuesday, March 19. Lumpkin County will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The Bobcats enter the battle with a 6-7 record after their 2-1 league loss to Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA).

The Spartans now possess a 4-11 record. They take the field next when they host Pickens for a 3A Area 7 battle on Tuesday, March 19. West Hall will play a Dragons squad coming off a 7-0 league win over White County (Cleveland, GA). The Dragons record now stands at 12-3.
