The Walnut Wildcats baseball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Middleton Tigers to 0 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Thursday.
The Wildcats (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Thrasher (Booneville, MS). The Rebels go into the non-league match with a 1-5 record. In their last match, Thrasher was overwhelmed by Biggersville (Corinth, MS), 13-3, in a league match.
The Tigers (0-3) will now prepare for their match against Ingomar (New Albany, MS). The Falcons go into the 2A Region 2 match with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Ingomar was overwhelmed by Adamsville (Adamsville, TN), 15-0, in a non-league battle.
