Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the St. James Sharks (Murrells Inlet, SC) and the host Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC), saw St. James's baseball squad knock off Sumter by a count of 11-4.

Coming up next, the Sharks play the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs (Little River, SC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, March 18. St. James will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record.

The Gamecocks now possess a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lugoff-Elgin for a non-league battle on Monday, April 8.
