San Marin Mustangs (Novato, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Redwood Giants (Larkspur, CA), 29-8 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Sonoma Valley for a challenge on Friday, March 15. San Marin will face a Dragons squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Analy (Sebastopol, CA). The Dragons record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Redwood falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Giants travel to Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA) to face the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 15. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 2-0.
