The Christ the Cornerstone Academy Defenders softball team scored 18 runs and limited the visiting Antioch Christian Academy Gators to 8 in the Defenders league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Christ the Cornerstone Academy improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Defenders travel to Antioch Christian Academy (Lumberton, NC) to clash with the Gators in a game on Friday, April 12. The Gators come into the game with a record of 0-1.

In their next game, the Gators clash with the New Life Christian Academy Warriors (Clinton, NC) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 15. Antioch Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
