Denison Yellow Jackets (Denison, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting McKinney North Bulldogs (McKinney, TX), 16-1 in a league challenge.

The Yellow Jackets now own a 13-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lovejoy for a 5A Region II District 13 challenge on Friday, March 15. Denison will battle a Leopards squad coming off a 6-1 league win over Sherman (Sherman, TX). The Leopards record now stands at 9-10.

With the loss, McKinney North falls to 4-8 on the season. The Bulldogs host Princeton (Princeton, TX) to meet the Panthers in a 5A Region II District 13 match on Saturday, March 16. The Panthers go into the match with a record of 8-9. Princeton won 9-8 in their recent league match against Denison (Denison, TX)
