Hixson Wildcats (Hixson, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Marion County Warriors (Jasper, TN), 11-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Walker Valley for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 18. Hixson will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Silverdale Academy (Chattanooga, TN). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Marion County falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Brainerd (Chattanooga, TN) to battle the Panthers in a 2A District 4 challenge on Monday, March 18. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
