California High School Softball - Marina bounces Newport Harbor

March 14, 2024: Huntington Beach, CA 92649

The Marina Vikings (Huntington Beach, CA) softball routed the visiting Newport Harbor Sailors (Newport Beach, CA), 12-2 in Thursday's league bout.

The Vikings (10-4) will now prepare for their match against Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA). The Griffins enter the Sunset match with a 10-3 record. In their last match, Los Alamitos defeated Fountain Valley (Fountain Valley, CA), 12-2, in a league match.

With the loss, Newport Harbor falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Sailors travel to San Juan Hills (San Juan Capistrano, CA) to face the Stallions in a non-league match on Saturday, March 16. The Stallions enter the match with a record of 2-5. San Juan Hills won 11-8 in their recent non-league match against Segerstrom (Santa Ana, CA)
