North Carolina High School Softball - Watauga Patton

The Patton Panthers softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Watauga Pioneers to 3 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Patton improves its record to 2-4 on the year. The Panthers host Polk County (Columbus, NC) to clash with the Wolverines in a Mountain Foothills Seven 1A/2A game on Tuesday, March 19. The Wolverines come into the game with a record of 4-2. Polk County lost 23-8 in their recent league game against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC)

In their next game, the Pioneers clash with the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A game, on Tuesday, March 19. Watauga will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Spartans come into the game with a 6-0 record after their 11-1 non-league win over Crest (Shelby, NC).
