The Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets (Los Angeles, CA) softball nipped the host San Gabriel Mission Pioneers (San Gabriel, CA), 1-0 in Thursday's league bout.

The Comets (5-4) will now prepare for their bout against St. Mary's Academy (Inglewood, CA). The Belles go into the Santa Fe bout with a 2-6 record. In their last bout, St. Mary's Academy held off St. Bernard (Playa del Rey, CA), 18-5, in a league bout.

The Pioneers now possess a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy for a Santa Fe bout on Tuesday, March 19. San Gabriel Mission will confront a Warriors squad coming off a 32-0 non-league loss to Whittier (Whittier, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 3-7.
