San Lorenzo Valley Cougars (Felton, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Soquel Knights (Soquel, CA), 7-1 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monterey for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. San Lorenzo Valley will face a Dores squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Everett Alvarez (Salinas, CA). The Dores record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Soquel falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Aptos (Aptos, CA) to face the Mariners in a Santa Cruz Coast challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Mariners enter the challenge with a record of 5-1.
