New Mexico High School Baseball - Carlsbad holds off Artesia

The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls (Carlsbad, NM) and the host Artesia Bulldogs (Artesia, NM), saw Carlsbad's baseball team gain a win over Artesia by a tally of 9-5.
The Cavemen/Cavegirls (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM). The Tigers enter the non-league battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Los Lunas held off Hobbs (Hobbs, NM), 11-2, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Bulldogs face the Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 20. Artesia will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 6-2 record after their 11-1 non-league win over Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM).
