The Wolves come into the outing with a 7-7 record after their 12-4 non-league win over Duncanville (Duncanville, TX).

The Bulldogs (9-7) will now prepare for their outing against Seguin (Arlington, TX). The Cougars come into the 5A Region I District 8 outing with a 9-8 record. In their last outing, Seguin was overwhelmed by Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX), 18-8, in a non-league outing.
