In Friday's league game, the host Lowndes Vikings baseball team scored a close 2-1 win over the Colquitt County Packers.
The Vikings (10-5) will now prepare for their game against Camden County (Kingsland, GA). The Wildcats go into the AAAAAA Region 1 game with a 4-11 record. In their last game, Camden County was tipped by Valdosta (Valdosta, GA), 8-6, in a league game.
Next, the Packers play the Tift County Blue Devils (Tifton, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 1 game, on Tuesday, March 18. Colquitt County will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Blue Devils go into the game with a 12-3 record after their 9-8 league win over Richmond Hill (Richmond Hill, GA).
