The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM) and the host Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM), saw Los Lunas's baseball team gain a win over Hobbs by a tally of 11-2.
The Tigers (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM). The Cavemen/Cavegirls enter the non-league battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Carlsbad prevailed over Artesia (Artesia, NM), 9-5, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Eagles face the Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, March 18. Hobbs will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 1-4 record after their 24-6 non-league loss to Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM).
