The West Lincoln Rebels baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Newton-Conover Red Devils to 2 in the Rebels league win on Friday.

The Rebels now hold a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Caldwell for a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A test on Tuesday, March 18. West Lincoln will play a Warriors team coming off a 23-11 non-league loss to North Wilkes (Hays, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 0-10.

With the defeat, Newton-Conover drops to 3-4 on the year. The Red devils host Bandys (Catawba, NC) to play the Trojans in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A test on Tuesday, March 18. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 1-5. Bandys won 8-3 in their recent league test against Maiden (Maiden, NC)
