The West Stanly Colts baseball squad (Oakboro, NC), 7-5 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting North Stanly Comets (New London, NC)
With the triumph, North Stanly moves its record to 6-0 on the season. The Comets travel to Union Academy (Monroe, NC) to confront the Cardinals in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A contest on Tuesday, March 18. The Cardinals come into the contest with a record of 1-4. Union Academy lost 11-0 in their recent non-league contest against Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC)
The Colts now possess a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Anson for a Rocky River 2A/3A contest on Tuesday, March 18. West Stanly will confront a Bearcats squad coming off a 8-7 non-league loss to Marlboro County (Bennettsville, SC). The Bearcats record now stands at 2-6.
