North Carolina High School Baseball - R-S Central holds off Polk County

March 14, 2025: Columbus, NC 28722

In Friday's league game, the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers baseball team scored a close 4-0 win over the Polk County Wolverines.

The Hilltoppers (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Chase (Forest City, NC). The Trojans go into the Mountain Foothills 7 1A/2A game with a 5-2 record. In their last game, Chase nudged Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC), 3-1, in a league game.

Next, the Wolverines play the Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 17. Polk County will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the game with a 8-1 record after their 15-0 league win over Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC).
