In Friday's league game, the host Tift County Blue Devils baseball team scored a close 9-8 win over the Richmond Hill Wildcats.
The Blue Devils (12-3) will now prepare for their game against Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA). The Packers go into the AAAAAA Region 1 game with a 7-8 record. In their last game, Colquitt County was tipped by Lowndes (Valdosta, GA), 2-1, in a league game.
Next, the Wildcats play the Valdosta Wildcats (Valdosta, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 1 game, on Tuesday, March 18. Richmond Hill will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the game with a 10-6 record after their 8-6 league win over Camden County (Kingsland, GA).
