The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Ryan Raiders (Denton, TX) and the visiting Saginaw Rough Riders (Saginaw, TX), saw Ryan's baseball team get by Saginaw by a tally of 3-2.

The Raiders (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Birdville (North Richland Hills, TX). The Hawks enter the 5A Region I District 7 battle with a 6-9 record. In their last battle, Birdville held off Fossil Ridge (Keller, TX), 8-4, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Rough Riders face the Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX) in a 5A Region I District 5 battle, on Tuesday, March 18. Saginaw will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Pirates enter the battle with a 9-5 record after their 9-2 league win over Fossil Ridge (Keller, TX).
