North Carolina High School Baseball - Southern Lee nips Scotland

The Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC) baseball got by the visiting Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), 6-5 in Friday's league challenge.

The Cavaliers now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Pinecrest for a Sandhills 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, March 18. Southern Lee will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 3-2 league win over Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 5-2.

With the defeat, Scotland drops to 4-3 on the year. The Fighting scots host Sanderson (Raleigh, NC) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 15. The Spartans go into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Sanderson lost 8-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Knightdale (Knightdale, NC)
