The St. Paul Swordsmen baseball team scored 5 runs and held the host Serra Cavaliers to 2 in the Swordsmen league win on Friday.

The Swordsmen now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Salle for a Del Rey test on Monday, March 17. St. Paul will play a Lancers team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Charter Oak (Covina, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 7-2.

With the defeat, Serra drops to 6-3 on the year. The Cavaliers travel to Paraclete (Lancaster, CA) to play the Spirits in a Del Rey match on Tuesday, March 18. The Spirits come into the match with a record of 3-7. Paraclete lost 5-2 in their recent league match against St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA)
