The Shepherd Pirates baseball squad (Shepherd, TX), was overwhelmed 12-3 in Friday's league contest with the host Tarkington Longhorns (Cleveland, TX)

With the triumph, Tarkington moves its record to 4-10 on the season. The Longhorns host Hamshire-Fannett (Hamshire, TX) to confront the Longhorns in a 4A Region III District 20 contest on Tuesday, March 18. The Longhorns come into the contest with a record of 2-10. Hamshire-Fannett lost 12-6 in their recent league contest against Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX)

The Pirates now possess a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Liberty for a 4A Region III District 20 contest on Tuesday, March 18. Shepherd will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 4-1 league win over Livingston (Livingston, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 8-8.
