The Cordova Wolverines (Cordova, AK) basketball edged the visiting Metlakatla Chiefs (Metlakatla, AK), 46-45 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Wolverines now possess a 17-6 record. They play next when they travel to Unalakleet for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 15. Cordova will play a Wolfpack team coming off a 44-42 non-league win over Seward (Seward, AK). The Wolfpack record now stands at 23-5.
With the loss, Metlakatla falls to 21-5 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Seward (Seward, AK) to play the Seahawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, March 15. The Seahawks go into the bout with a record of 15-11. Seward won 57-30 in their recent non-league bout against Wrangell (Wrangell, AK)
