In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Northwood Timberwolves volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Sage Hill Lightning.

The Timberwolves (8-7) will now prepare for their challenge against University (Irvine, CA). The Trojans enter the Pacific Coast challenge with a 13-5 record. In their last challenge, University got by Woodbridge (Irvine, CA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Lightning meet the Portola Bulldogs (Irvine, CA) in a Pacific Coast challenge, on Tuesday, March 18. Sage Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 13-7 record after their 2-0 non-league win over San Luis Obispo (San Luis Obispo, CA).
