Fans at Friday's non-league test between the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) and the visiting Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), witnessed Sun Valley's lacrosse squad overcome Independence by a count of 13-5.

The Spartans (1-1) will now prepare for their test against St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Indians enter the non-league test with a 5-1 record.

Next, the Patriots battle the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves (Charlotte, NC) in a Southwestern/So Meck test, on Monday, March 17. Independence will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Wolves enter the test with a 4-2 record after their 17-8 non-league win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC).
