North Carolina High School Soccer - Holmes knocks off Albemarle School

March 14, 2025: Elizabeth City, NC 27909

The Holmes Aces soccer squad scored 6 points and held the host Albemarle School Colts to 1 in the Aces non-league victory on Friday.

The Aces now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Northeastern for a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A bout on Monday, March 17. Holmes will play a Eagles squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech (Elizabeth City, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Albemarle School moves to 0-4 on the year. The Colts travel to Pungo Christian Academy (Belhaven, NC) to play the Raiders in a NCISAA Tarheel bout on Tuesday, March 18. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Pungo Christian Academy won 2-0 in their recent league bout against Ridgecroft (Ahoskie, NC)
